In 2019, while traveling through Australia, we discovered reusable beeswax wraps at a craft market. We were surprised by how simple and practical the concept was, and how useful they were in our daily lives. Upon returning to Ibiza, we thought: why not try it ourselves?
It was in the midst of the pandemic that we began making them by hand, to use at home and as gifts for our friends. What seemed like a small, personal project quickly grew into something bigger. Participating in local markets, we were thrilled to see the great reception these eco-friendly wraps received from those looking for natural alternatives to disposable materials.
Thus, Abella Ibiza was born, with the mission of offering a practical and sustainable option that inspires more people to reduce their environmental impact. Each wrap is handmade with natural ingredients, designed to replace single-use plastic and encourage a more conscious lifestyle.
We know that changing habits can seem complicated. But also that you don’t need to get it perfect from day one. It’s about taking small steps: choosing to reuse instead of throw away, thinking before you buy, and opting for options that care for the planet.
Starting with a reusable wrap is a great start. Small gestures can make a big difference.
Our aim is to use national products, of known and certified origin whenever is possible. We work with local suppliers and do what is in our power to keep this venture as a green project.
